The CoreLogic House Price Index report for March 2013 (not to be confused with the Case-Shiller index) shows a nationwide increase in home prices of 10.5% on a year-over-year basis. According to CoreLogic, “[t]his change represents the biggest year-over-year increase since March 2006 and the 13th consecutive monthly increase in home prices nationally.” Particularly encouraging is that this figure includes distressed sales.
